This power adapter works for the Nikon D50. It comes with the ac plug portion, which is not pictured.

Expensive as hell, but essential for certain kinds of work. Like exposure times of several hours (as in astrophotography) or with the D300 having it take pictures at intervals without you even beging there.

This is a great OEM AC power supply for the camera; most useful for lengthy computer capture sessions, or studio shooting. I made the mistake of buying a D300 system over the phone from a bait and switch Brooklyn Wholesaler outfit. Their online D300 body price was great, but once I asked if it was a gray market or USA model, the cost of USA body was $300 more than the advertised D300, and all the accessories were cheap non-OEM at or above OEM prices. Instead of this AC Power supply, for the same price I received a Universal multi-voltage adapter with numerous tip adapters , non of which fit the Nikon connection.
My final judgement is that simply using Amazon.com is the easiest and most legitimate vendor for Quality products and low prices. Why monkey around?

I had a really hard locating this item from local vendors... everyone was out. I then found it listed on Amazon and ordered it with expidited shipping. Received it quickly and on time, and it works great with my D80 camera. I downloaded a time lapse program online to operate the camera automatically via laptop and I have run time lapse for periods longer than a week and then made them into stop-shot videos with great success.

I had planned to buy this AC adapter and the accompanying power supply connector when I bought my D40x a year ago. Just got around to it last month, when I bought two replacement Nikon batteries and resolved to make them last longer than six months.
I do a lot of inside, studio shooting of eBay items and photos of completed art and craft projects. Having my camera running on outlet power during those shoots should save wear and tear on my batteries, I hope.
