Great SLR Holster June 28, 2009 William Jackson (Tuscaloosa, AL United States) 9 out of 12 found this review helpful
I am using this holster with a Canon 50D w/ a battery grip and a 70-200 f2.8. The camera and lens fit great even with the lens hood inverted. It even has enough room in the front pocket for my Canon flash. I added a Lowepro lens case mounted to the side for an additional wide angle zoom. The quality is top notch!
A great "Around Town" Len Bag January 13, 2010 E. Ramclam (Los Angeles) 6 out of 9 found this review helpful
I have so many camera bags in my possession right now that I actually think I've beaten my girlfriend's stash of bags and purses. Each bag I have has a significant purpose for the things I do in life. Whether it be for a long trip overseas or an in studio photo session, each bag does it's job. I needed a bag that wasn't a backpack, a suitcase or even "a typical camera bag." Something that could lug around my Canon 5D mated with a 70-200 Telephoto lens and battery grip. I accidentally purchased the Topload Zoom AW thinking that's the one I needed. Apparently it's not modeled for a Camera with Battery Grip, so I returned it and picked up the Toploader Pro 75 AW. (Please be careful when selecting one of the 7 TopLoad bags that Lowepro has to offer.
The Toploader Pro 75 AW fits my Canon 5D (Series 1) with Battery Grip and Strap just about right. It's a little tight with no room to move, but after adjusting the removable foam pads around, I can say that the fit is almost perfect. I can have my 70-200 2.8 mounted to the body with the grip or my 17-40 with no problem. I just recently purchased the Lens Case LC 1 and LC 2 to take advantage of Lowepro's Sliplock System with this Bag. The Oblong shape is what I really like about this bag. I'm a skinny dude, 5'8 and the bag seems to rest just right around my hip and down my side. My Speedlite with in it's case fits comfy in the front pocket and the open pocket on the other side is nice enough to put little nick'nacks in as well. Overall, I'm very happy with this bag and with my purchase directly from Amazon. Do try to go to a camera shop and check one out for yourself to make sure it's the right fit for you before order. It will save you a lot of time. Thanks
Great camera bag for 70-200 or 24-70 June 12, 2010 M. Butler (Gilbert, AZ USA) 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
This is my fourth Lowepro camera bag. I also own the Toploader Pro 70, which is only large enough to accommodate an SLR with a smaller zoom (such as the Nikon 16-85) or a kit lens. The Pro 75 fits my Nikon D90 with a battery pack and the Nikon 70-200 VRII lens with the lens hood reversed, or it fits the same camera with the Nikon 24-70 with the lens hood attached. The excellent build quality is what I've come to expect from Lowepro. The shoulder strap is comfortable, there are dedicated pockets for SD cards, and the front pocket is large enough to hold a cell phone or smaller topmount flash. Overall this camera bag is well thought out and built like a tank. For the professional or casual photographer, this beats anything currently on the market.
No more slinging the camera around without protection! July 16, 2010 Rizzo (Denver, CO) This small version of a large camera case is perfect. I have a Nikon D70 and a few lenses, but periodically, I wish to carry the camera alone, rather than the larger bag I keep it in. This works great, never worry about the camera banging loose on my side while I am ready to take photos. It is easy to carry, easy to reach into, and comfortable without feeling bulky.
The padding is thick, providing great protection for the camera. The larger pocket is just enough for small items especially the Nikkor lenses I have. I like the color, the strap is long enough and the case feels good at my side. I like the weatherproof rugged material. Since I don't do a ton with the camera, this is just my size for carrying around the camera. .....Rizzo
Great for casual or remote shoots November 24, 2009 Norman A. Garrett (Charleston, IL USA) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
I bought this as a good way to take my camera on the long walks I often take. Generally, I'll set the camera up with a lens and then head out. For that type of activity, it works great. Even my longest lens, a 75-400, fits easily. It has some excellent features, such as the quick extraction design, which allows you to place the camera in the bag in such a way as to be readily accessible, letting you quickly open it, grab the camera, and get a quick shot before the opportunity disappears.
It is comfortable to wear, and you can use a second strap (included) for extra stability. Often, I don't use that strap but will just sling the bag over my shoulder. The only drawback I have found to it is that its side-mounted wear (on one hip) gets in the way of my normal swinging arm when walking briskly. The only way around that, though, would be a backpack setup, which would negate the quick extraction design of this bag.
The bag has extra pockets for other accessories, but no real space for an extra lens. Since I don't use it that way anyhow, this wasn't a problem for me. If you're just off for a quick shoot, or just want to take your camera on a walk in case a photo op pops up, this bag is top-notch.
